As a seaman, you need to invest for yourself. But sometimes your investment will be your liability, like buying a house. They that a house is a investment, if you earn money from it, But if your house will cause you expenses, it will be a liability. They say that you can't focus reviewing when you are at home but it depends on you if you will not focus reviewinf at home. My Picture of my Girlfriend in our vessel. In March 2017, my vessel had a dsicharhing here in Subic bay, Zambales, Philippines so I let her know and encourage him to come and visit me in our vessel. Few Filipino families had experience in visiting a vessel where their family member works. It was very happy to be visited by your family and especially by the girl you love. Seafarers always celebrates saturday nights to be able to relax themselves. Each day is very difficult for a seafarer because each day you always think that you are away from your family so it is better to have saturday night celebrations to forget that you are away from your family. Mooring Winch and Mooring Rope! Mooring Winch and Mooring Rope is very important to the ship especially when docking and undocking operation. At port, the mooring is always check to determine if it slack or not. One the mooring rope is slack, the duty able seaman will add tension to it. Tug Boat in Hamburg, Germany! Tug boat helps the Vessel in bringing to port. It assist the shipping during mooring operation. It pushes the ship near the port during docking operation. It pulls the shipt during undocking operation and helps it to be stabilize. Tug boat has a very big factor in shipping operations.

You will determine that a vessel crews had a good harmony onboard by seeing pictures of them smiling and laughing. I hope all crew in each vessels know how to maintain good harmony onboard. Treat each other as family members. Respect each other. Remember that we dedicated ourselves in working in a ship for our family. 😢😢😢

What a foggy weather in Paranagua, Brazil. This port in Brazil is very famous to seafarers. They have a lot of golden memories in this port that they always tell especially my crew in this ship. I had a shore pass in Paranagua and I can tell this is a beautiful place guys. Seafarers always buy havaianas and ipanemas when they come in Brazil. Maybe we seafarers are very lucky once we had travel in Brazil. Thank you guys for watching 😊 Sorry for my english.

In this picture, we were loading fertilizer in Hamburg, Germany. It usually takes 4 to 5 days in loading fertilizer. The fertilizer was loaded inside the cargo holds by means of conveyor. After completing the loading sequence, our vessel will sail to south america and will discharge. If you have some questions, comment below guys 😊

Cleaning ships cargo holds is difficult! Especially when you are loaded first with dirty cargoes and then you will shift to loding of clean cargoes like rice, fertilizer and grains. Usually it takes us, 3 to 4 days to clean all the holds but sometimes we are rushing it and finishing it for 2 days. At that state, we are already exhausted and we lack sleep and rest but for additional pay, we still finish it. By the way our ship has 5 cargo holds. 5 holds are very hard to clean,how about 7 and 9 holds? By just thinking, it already makes me tired. Thanks for reading guys. It was my first time yo renew m passport and I found out that renewing your passport in DFA ASEANA is the fastest way to renew it especially if you are an OFW (land based or sea based). In renewing my passport, I just bring my bagpack and my old passport and my seaman's book. I just photocopied it inside the DFA and follow the steps. No more folder or envelope needed. Just your old passport, seaman's book and the photocopied entries in your passport and seamans book. It only takes me less than 30 minutes to renew my passport! Guys let me tell you that the fastest way to renew your seaman's book, especially to the seaman here in NCR area is at the POEA Ortigas. It was my first time to renew my seaman's book. It only takes me 30 minutes in renewing my seaman's book because I came very early in POEA Ortigas. I came around 7:30 am in the morning then I fill out a green form then I submit a copy of the requirements needed. It cost me around 900 pesos for the renewal. Do you thing guys that shipping industry in the Philippines is not that rich? Do you believe that the government of the Philippines should make our shipping industry? Can Philippines become richer if the shipping industry grows?  In Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. You will see that there are places that possible to be ports but our government is not making use of these resources. Because of the corrupt officials. I hope one day. They will notice that growing our shipping industry will help our economy. Sorry for my english. I'm not that fluent.

Discharging of Barites in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Barites is a very heavy kind of dirty cargo. It only fill up almost 1/8 of every cargo holds of my last vessel with a GT of 32000. Discharging of this kind of cargo in Dammam is very hard because of the climate there. I met a old filipino P-Loader operator there and I feel how hard his life became while he was working there. Turtle that we caught using a fishing hook. It was not our intention to catch the turtle but unfortunately, the turtle was caught by the hook in its front leg. After we saw it circling in the water, we heave it up to see what is its condition. The turtle does not have any injury but its crying. I doesn't know why. We let go of the turtle because they say its bad luck for us if we do something bad to the turtle. Hopefully the turtle will lay eggs :) Thanks for reading. Sorry for my english hehehe

Rescue Boat on board. Testing of Rescue boat weekly. Maintenance by the 3rd officer but we cadets do it for him for us to be able to know how to operate it if there is distress. I am the deck cadet there, the one who is sitting in the rescue boat and the other guy is the engine cadet. They teach us how to start the engine of the rescue boat and how to maneuver it in the water. There is no actual testing on the water because we are underway.

I'm a Filipino Seafarer! This is my first safety shoes onboard my first vessel. I used it for a total of 9 months and 16 days. It's ugly because of our work that maintaining the good paint of the ship. We always paint the deck once we get the chance of having in good weather condition. Thanks to my safety shoes because I always remember the difficult of my experiences on my first vessel by just glancing on it. I will share my other experience to all of you! Thank you for reading! :)
